My word for 2009

As years go, 2008 had it's ups and downs (like everybody has), but I think 2009 is going to be the year of change for our family. Renae will be in year 12 and sitting TEE towards the end of the year, Gemma wants to work on 2 solo routines this year and hopefully enter more competitions (whilst completing Year 10). Steve had a pretty rocky 2008 and I'm hoping that he will be able to find some time for himself and us as a family and not work so hard this year. Me, well I still feel like I'm in limbo and not really sure what I want to achieve this year both on a personal and professional level, but I'm taking my time to think about things and hopefully things will become clearer.
So my word for 2009 is "Perspective", I want to keep everything in perspective, everything I do, say, create and photograph. I took some time to come up with my word this year and even though things jump out of perspective every now and then, I'm going to make a concerted effort to try and keep them in perspective this year.

For the moment we are enjoying the warm weather and spending some time just lazing about.....if you can call this lazing about.......

Gemma completing a backsault yesterday on the beach at Yanchep!

New Year's Eve we had about 26 at our house for a party, new friends and old friends and we had a fabulous time.......Thank you Cathy for my very special card and gift, I knew you were up to something!

I'm hoping to get some creativity going today, there is so much I want to do and now all the festivites are out of the way I think I can probably find some time for me to hide away in my "cave" and create.

Until next time - Take Care!
