20 Years and counting!

On 2nd December my gorgeous husband and I celebrated 20 years of marriage......in Bali!

After a very hectic week and an end of year dance concert to contend with (which is always a stressful time not matter how much we try not to make it stressful) Steve and I departed Perth on 22nd Nov for 12 glorious days in Bali.

We were delayed out of Perth by about 1 1/2 hours (always the way when you are anxious to be somewhere else!), but when we finally arrived at the Ulin Villas we were met with something like heaven.

It was everything and more than we expected - our very own Villa complete with pool, kitchen, breakfast prepared daily by our own chef, lounge dining and outdoor bathroom. Magic! You can see more here if you are interested - we really can't recommend the accommodation enough.

We swam....

We went sightseeing....

We ate and drank....

We re-connected and re-discovered why we married each other all those years ago...no pictures of this sorry!!!!

We celebrated...

On our last night we decided to have a BBQ meal prepared in the Villa and when I came home from dashing out to get some last minute shopping done I was greeted by this image and it truly took my breath away. They are Frangipanni flowers strategically placed around the grass area of the Villa - just stunning - we also had some woven decorations hung from the ceiling of the dining area too. Our feast was prepared and then we were left alone to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary and just relax. The day was perfect!

Our 12 days away were amazing, we felt like we had had a holiday. Our girls missed us terribly and we missed them very much too.

It was straight back to work for me as last night - I had a wedding to photograph - so I'll be back with some sneek peaks sometime next week of Kelly & Sam.

I have had so much time to think about so much whilst I was away that I now have a list of things I would like to achieve in the coming year, some of which are already underway and include a new blog and website so stay tuned for those.

My girls have their awards night on Monday night and we have had confirmation that they will both be receiving awards - what a great way to finish off a very successful year for us all.

I won't be around here for a while - I've decided to take a break and get some very important "behind the scenes" things done and they are going to take alot of my brainpower to do them (well what brainpower I have left anyway). Things that are going to move my business forward in exciting new directions.
I have just been checking out my blog statistics and wanted to thank every one of you who has visited recently and left such positive comments, I really do appreciate the feedback.
I hope to be back posting again very soon. Until then, take care of you!

WARNING - Lots of photos!

This is the final Family Session from trip to Hyden last month - The Finlays.
First up is big brother, the quiet one!

Then middle brother - the cheeky one!

Then baby brother who was not having the best of days but we did manage to settle him for a short while - long enough anyway!

Love this one - I think it's my favourite.

And here they are altogether!

Thanks to the Finlay family for a lovely morning - the proofs are in the mail to you tomorrow.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you read Lis' blog then you know we went on a Photoshoot last Friday to Guildford to get some photos of E and M. Here's just a few from the session - enjoy!

Blowing bubbles!

Thanks for looking! Comments and feedback appreciated.

Another family sneak peek! Just one more to go.

The Nicholl family were alot of fun to photograph and thanks to Dad (and the kids) for holding my "shade" when needed.

This first one of the whole family was taken at the Salt Lake near Wave Rock. Great location and we even got everyones shoes and socks off! I love this photo - even though not one of them is looking at me it speaks volumes about this family.

And big brother was a joy to photograph - he has the same colouring as my eldest daughter so late afternoon sun on this child = heaven.

This little princess was nearly always smiling particularly when her brothers were acting up behind me!

And lastly, little brother - well what can one say - I think this photo says it all!

Oh sorry just one more of Mum and Dad - mmmm - the love this man has for this woman - I cannot put into words......look for yourself.....

Thank you to the Nicholl family - Your proofs are in the mail!

You have to check out this family's Christmas Card for this year - Just Awesome!
and
PLEASE visit Lis' blog and see what hard work she has been doing in support of Children of the Forest and if you can help her out that would be fantastic - I cleaned out Gemma's wardrobe again the other day so a bag of goodies is coming your way Lis! Every little bit counts! Oh and I won't be doing the Wishing Tree at Target this year but giving something to Lis instead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd also like to say good luck to all the Year 12's sitting exams in the next few weeks - Renae has 2 down and 3 to go and then I just can't believe she will have finished school forever. It feels like only yesterday that I was in her shoes - can you remember what that feeling was like? - I felt very weird for a while.....then reality set in!

This is a very special preview for me - Photographing friends can fall either way - I think this one fell the right way! We started in Hyden and then went out to the farm near Varley. I'd never been out that way before and the drive out was beautiful - very different countryside again to West of Hyden. What was it you said Lis "It's not nowhere but you can see nowhere from it"? Well I loved it out there - must be the country girl coming out in me.

Enjoy the sneak peek!

Oh what a feeling! I had M doing this on his own too - I think he was buggered afterwards.

What a cutey hey!

These big brown eyes are just stunning!

And my favourite!

You know the drill by now - Proofs are on their way!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have had such a great response from families in Hyden and I have decided to return in April School holidays 2010 - I already have 7 names on the list so if you are interested in having a family photo session done then please email me and I will add you on. Package details and costs should be available by middle January and then I will work out a schedule and allocate times.

If you live in another area and would like to discuss the possibility of a family photo session then please contact me - If numbers are interested then I am only to happy to travel to your area.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also if you are interested in my Christmas special - session times are limited so you had better be quick!

Enjoy the warm weather if you are in Perth!

Another Preview - This time of the Ray Family. This session was full on with H who just would not keep still - he was a challenge, but I like a challenge and I think I captured him perfectly in the end.

I know this first photo is not perfect, the composition isn't so great - you can't see Mum, dad is squinting, there are rain clouds in the background lit by the afternoon sun, and so on and so on, but when I opened this image up today in Photoshop I almost screamed - it says so much about this family that I just had to include it and as it turns out it is one of my very favourites. I LURVE it!

Gotta love a little baby dribble! - this little guy was soooooo good and he even fell asleep on the walk home.

Here's the little pocket rocket - He did not stop for the whole shoot - he certainly kept me on my toes, but Oh what blue eyes he had. He is certainly male model material when he gets older !

And the two boys together, you could say this was a rare moment.

Thanks N&S for inviting me into your lovely family, enjoy the sneak peek - the proofs are on their way.

P.S. Thanks for all the lovely comments I have been getting - all the support I have received from friends and family has been very inspiring and reassuring too - Thanks to all of you! I feel like I'm heading into another chapter of my very full life and also into a very busy 2010! Life is pretty good at the moment.
