Favourites

I was asked to do a photoshoot for some friends "L" and "I" last week along with "I's" parents who were visiting from England. Both couples were alot of fun and we had quite a few out-takes. I'm always nervous shooting for friends as I seem to put myself under a little more pressure......silly me. Anyway they are extremely happy with them - thank goodness - and I was even surprised at some of the results. "I" doesn't like having his photo taken so I saw this as a bit of a challenge! His response was "you must have some pretty fancy special effects to make me look so good" - I'll take it as a compliment!

Here's a select few from the shoot............

I'm still learning heaps from these sessions so using friends is helping me move forward with my photogrpahy.
I'm loving the colour red at the moment - I can't seem to get enough of it, I've even ordered this print

from Askey on Etsy - can't wait for it to arrive. I already have a spot picked out for it in my kitchen.

I've also re-visited my Flickr account in recent days and thought I would share some inspiring "RED" images.

A blogging award has been bestowed upon me by my good friend Lis - Thanks Lis! - I agree with your sentiments that your blogging "celebrates real life and friendships".

This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of the prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attentions to these writers! Deliver this award to 8 blogger’s who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award.

So my 8 bloggers (from about 60 that I read and inspire me)that would be suitable for this award are:

Mistra
Tomorrow's Memories (Vicki, Jo & Clori)
Sam Blake (Photogrpaher)
Anyways - I hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and staying cool.
Til next time - Take Care!
