Scrappin Outback : Wave Rock Retreat : Final Sneak Peek

Just to tease you all a little more - here is the final sneak peek for the "Off the page" class at the upcoming Scrappin Outback Wave Rock Retreat....

The theme of this project is easily adaptable to suit your own style and purpose. Boy, girl, decorative, useful - you choose and make it your own. It will be alot of fun and I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am preparing to shoot a wedding tomorrow with a bridal party of 12! Looking forward to it very much and I'm sure D&J are too.

Enjoy your weekend and hopefully I will be back early next week with some photography tips for you.

Too much

Too much has happened in the last month to record it in detail so bullet form it is:

  • Steve has been to Karratha again for work
  • My brother Peter stayed with us whilst he got our new Drill Rig up and running - without him this would not have happened
  • I tried to burn 3 fingers off by taking Glad Wrap off a chicken dish straight out of the microwave - I was rushing, not thinking, dinner was running late and I managed to peel off about 3 layers of skin. Not pretty
  • Renae has been working at a Geotechnical firm in Wembley - I have been driving her there - 2 hour round trip twice a day, not every day thank goodness
  • Had a quiet Austalia Day - a swim at the beach and fish and chips at the pub in Mindarie.
  • Dance enrolments for 2010 - classes start tonight - 3 nights a week, 4 disciplines, 3 competition classes on Saturdays - Gemma (not me!)
  • Started the Jessica Sprague Tablet Course - I have had a tablet for some time but now I'm learning how to use it!
  • Gemma started Year 11 and seems to be coping ok with the homework so far
  • Had lunch with 2 very good friends (this was good for the soul! - much needed!)
  • Attended a weekend seminar on Photography called Light Fantastic - I came home from this very inspired with heaps of ideas and lots more to learn about
  • Renae passed her Drivers Licence WOO HOO!
  • My hubby surprised me with a dozen red roses on Valentines Day
  • Crocheted another Cotton Dischloth
  • Baked a yummy cake from my Donna Hay Seasons cookbook
  • Placing print orders for clients
  • Meeting with a Bride and Groom to be - lovely couple - can't wait to photograph their wedding on 6th March
  • EDITED Tue 16th Feb......Lis her Mum, Evangeline and Morgane came for a visit (Sorry Lis, how could I have forgotten this!!!!!!!!!!!)

I'm sure there is more but I can't remember right at the moment cause I need to think about what is coming up!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Karen from Scrappin' Outback has invited me once again to teach classes at her Hyden Scrapbooking retreat to be held on 26th - 28th March and I am working madly on getting my projects finalised, so stay tuned for those. Lis already has hers done and you can see sneak peeks here. If you are interested in attending this fantastic retreat then please get in touch with Karen - you won't be disappointed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The big news is that I will be visiting Hyden again from 12th -16th April and will be available for Family Photo Sessions. There will be one session in the morning and one in the afternoon and I have scheduled this time during the school holidays to accommodate those families with children home from Boarding School for the break. So if you are interested in finding out some more or would like to make a booking, please email me. First come first served.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are reading this and live in a country area but just can't get to Perth with the whole family to have a Photo Session done, then please contact me to discuss arranging times for me to come to you. I know your time is precious and preserving family memories are important so a Photo Session at "your place" might be the answer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I feel like this year so far has been steam rolling me, so it's time to take back control and visit here a little more often. I'm not making any promises because I'm tired of breaking them (totally against the grain for me), but hopefully, hopefully I can bring you something new each week for inspiration.

Have a great week everyone.

WARNING - Lots of photos!

This is the final Family Session from trip to Hyden last month - The Finlays.
First up is big brother, the quiet one!

Then middle brother - the cheeky one!

Then baby brother who was not having the best of days but we did manage to settle him for a short while - long enough anyway!

Love this one - I think it's my favourite.

And here they are altogether!

Thanks to the Finlay family for a lovely morning - the proofs are in the mail to you tomorrow.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you read Lis' blog then you know we went on a Photoshoot last Friday to Guildford to get some photos of E and M. Here's just a few from the session - enjoy!

Blowing bubbles!

Thanks for looking! Comments and feedback appreciated.

Another family sneak peek! Just one more to go.

The Nicholl family were alot of fun to photograph and thanks to Dad (and the kids) for holding my "shade" when needed.

This first one of the whole family was taken at the Salt Lake near Wave Rock. Great location and we even got everyones shoes and socks off! I love this photo - even though not one of them is looking at me it speaks volumes about this family.

And big brother was a joy to photograph - he has the same colouring as my eldest daughter so late afternoon sun on this child = heaven.

This little princess was nearly always smiling particularly when her brothers were acting up behind me!

And lastly, little brother - well what can one say - I think this photo says it all!

Oh sorry just one more of Mum and Dad - mmmm - the love this man has for this woman - I cannot put into words......look for yourself.....

Thank you to the Nicholl family - Your proofs are in the mail!

This is a very special preview for me - Photographing friends can fall either way - I think this one fell the right way! We started in Hyden and then went out to the farm near Varley. I'd never been out that way before and the drive out was beautiful - very different countryside again to West of Hyden. What was it you said Lis "It's not nowhere but you can see nowhere from it"? Well I loved it out there - must be the country girl coming out in me.

Enjoy the sneak peek!

Oh what a feeling! I had M doing this on his own too - I think he was buggered afterwards.

What a cutey hey!

These big brown eyes are just stunning!

And my favourite!

You know the drill by now - Proofs are on their way!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have had such a great response from families in Hyden and I have decided to return in April School holidays 2010 - I already have 7 names on the list so if you are interested in having a family photo session done then please email me and I will add you on. Package details and costs should be available by middle January and then I will work out a schedule and allocate times.

If you live in another area and would like to discuss the possibility of a family photo session then please contact me - If numbers are interested then I am only to happy to travel to your area.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also if you are interested in my Christmas special - session times are limited so you had better be quick!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enjoy the warm weather if you are in Perth!

I've decided to place a header at the beginning of my posts to identify what the post is about. This post is about a Photo Session preview so from now on they will be preceded by the above graphic/header!

So here is the first family photo session from my trip to Hyden....the Argent Family......Enjoy!

I did not alter this little cherubs eyes in any way whatsoever - I promise! They really are this blue, just like the ocean.

This one is a bit arty farty! S&J, I wasn't going mad when I asked you to do this!

Isn't she just the sweetest thing!
And to finish off here they are altogether.
Thanks S&J for allowing me to share in your morning - your proofs are on their way to you tomorrow.
I've moved on to the next family for hopefully I will be back in a couple of days with some more.
Take care everyone!
