Perth Family Photographer | Cassey Girls

I have photographed Lis’ girls on several occasions now and it’s always enjoyable.  We were chatting a few months back about a “styled” shoot that we could do using a few of the most amazing props that Lis seems to pull out of nowhere.  I knew she had some hat boxes and old suitcases that were going to be appropriate.  Then in the few days leading up to the session Lis was messaging me photos of different things she had remembered including an old bike, vintage children’s chairs and “the” suitcases.

I had some bunting made by the lovely Janelle from Janellybelly Bags and Things a few months back now and included this in my own stash filling the back of my car.  The bunting has been patiently sitting on my shelf waiting for the perfect moment to be included in a photo session.

So we headed to a spot that I thought would be perfect for our styled session and set everything up.  Then the mozzies attacked….I could feel them biting me through my shirt and they were monsters!  Just me….not Lis or the kids so much….I must be tastier than the others.  Anyway, I had a job to do, so in between shots Lis would stand behind me and “smack” the mozzies on my back and arms.   Ah just as well I love what I do.

Lis’ Mum came to the rescue with some mozzie spray……THANK YOU!

I had to laugh when I saw this one…..Little Miss M always has me in stitches with her facial expressions…..she has some doozies.

My vintage cameras were a hit….reminds me I must ask my brother for some of his….he has some gorgeous ones.

In between funny faces…..isn’t she just gorgeous and so full of spunk.

See! say no more…..she was singing to her Mumma here.

Was it worth lugging all the props through the bush…..you bet!

Was it worth being eaten alive by mozzies…..gosh yes…..until I had a hot shower that night!

Perth Family Photographer | Campbell Family

It’s been a while I know…..I get on a roll with my blog and then it goes totally out the window.

Even though it’s the middle of Winter I have still been shooting and loving it….the cooler weather is so much nicer to photograph in.  My body temp goes through the roof when I shoot so it is much more confortable for me.  And when you get the winter days we have been having then it’s even better!

So Kirsty and I have been trying to get a photo session in for a while now and for one reason or another it just hasn’t happened….until now….and oh my, did we have some fun.  I have wanted to go to Guildford for some time now and do a family session.  I drive past the Fire Station all the time and always thought it would be a good spot.

The kids all bought along some personal items to use as props and they worked a treat.  We were thoroughly entertained by Miss M the whole time and what a delight she was.  In fact the whole family were totally co-operative and “into” having their photographs taken.

I played with this one a little…..I know that Kirsty is a creative soul and would appreciate the added extras.

I just love the way Kirsty is laughing at John as obviously he has said something only meant for her ears and the look on his face is priceless.

LOVE!  You know when you picture an image in your head before you take it….well that!

This woman is stunning……inside and out.

And a fine art image to finish…..even though this was a fun urban shoot there is always an opportunity to capture that special image!

I love my job.

I am not a “cheap” photographer!

I won’t apologise for that….I charge for my time, my expenses and of course to pay myself…..I am in business after all.

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for.  I do not advertise inferior products to get you in the door and then upsell you to $1000’s for your final spend.  I do not charge a $50 sitting fee and then sell you a house worth of wall prints that you can’t really afford, leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth.

I am honest and upfront in advising you what you can expect to spend……if you want to spend $100 on prints that you want to frame later in your own time then that is just fine with me.

If you want to order some now and some later or even layby your images, then just ask.

If you want to spend $1000’s on wall prints that you will savour every time you pass them hanging on your family room wall then that’s fine too.

I do not hard sell, I charge a fair price for your photo session which includes all this:

- Phone consultation
- Travel to and from your location within the Perth Metro area
- 1 hour photo session on location
- Full Editing
- Min 30 proofs to choose from
- Post session selection consultation
- Preparation of prints and framing (if required)
- Print Delivery

And I am currently offering this as a Winter Special…..a GREAT saving for you!

I am not pointing the finger at any competitor here, merely stating what I do not offer, but more importantly what I DO offer you as my client and that’s personalised service.
