I have just finished editing my last wedding for the year and thought I would share some of my favourites.
This couple were so relaxed and laid back, but very much in love. I often say that you can see so much more through the lens of a camera than you can ever see with the naked eye. I like to take photos that are not "staged" although there are many that require "staging" when shooting a wedding. I was hiding behind a corner just before the ceremony when I took this first one - I think it's my favourite!
The bride's bouquet was stunning and oh so yummy for taking photos.
I have to love black and whites for weddings.
They were very easy to photograph these two. They were married at home (just around the corner from me actually) - they are standing on the very edge of their dam with valley views to die for.
Spontaneous photos are just the best!!!!!!!!!!

They ordered 50 of the best - I ended up handing over 114 - I just couldn't decide!!!!! Hope you like them too guys!

19 Years!

Yesterday this man and I celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary!

When we woke yesterday morning I gave him his card and pressie....he gave me a card. Nothing unusual. Then he told me of our plans for the next 24 hours or so. The kids were taken care of for the night. We were staying here.....

We wandered the streets of Fremantle and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast at the bakery. Any shop I wanted to look in was ok with him. I snapped this amazing doorway on the way past.......secretly I was checking out locations for future photoshoots.....love the flaking paint on this blue door.....

We lunched here......Little Creatures Brewery - shared a pizza - Steve had a pale ale - I enjoyed a cider!

Checked into our Spa Suite (no less!) and had an afternoon nap.

We dined at Char Char Bull at Fisherman's Harbour for dinner and talked and talked. Dessert was Baskin Robbins Ice Cream before wandering back to the hotel where we found Champange on ice and Bacci chocolates from our friends!

Lazy Sunday morning sleep in - except it was Wednesday wasn't it. Checked out of hotel and headed to Cottesloe for breakfast and another wander through some yummy shops.....he bought me these....

I feel thoroughly ruined! I could not have asked for a better present - time with my man. I love you to bits and I can't wait for the next 19 years together.

I'm still here

Although.....

I have been here for a much needed weekend away.....
Port Dennison.

Where Steve caught this......

and the kids got to do this........
I photographed my last wedding for the year (just around the corner from home).........
Then that night I flew here......

and spent the week with Judy working on a commissioned album - 70 pages worth!
I'm home again now and looking forward to a well earned break and spending some time with my family during the holidays......oh and catching up on all the house stuff that needs doing at this time of the year.
Christmas is just around the corner and I think I am slowly getting things under control.
I'm very much looking forward to getting into some of my own art during the break.....itching to in fact but there are some other things on the agenda first.
I hope you are all well and I will find the time to post here every now and then.
Take Care!
